MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY 9TH DECEMBER 2025

Chairman’s opening remarks and Declarations of interest.

1. Apologies for absence
None

2. Minutes of the meeting held on 11th November 2025
RESOLVED that the minutes be signed.

3. Update from Ward Councillors
• Councill Lawson offered some Crocus, Snowdrops & Daffodils for the grass verges. This was rejected but thanked Vicky for the offer. Some bulbs may be dropped off for the planters.
• Lighting at the War memorial was not possible due to cabling issues.

4. Matters arising from the minutes.
• Trees and branches were reported on Abbes Walk causing power lines to go out. Some trees look dead near Squirrel wood. As yet nothing has been sorted in this area.
• Fly Tipping – serious issues with fly tipping have been reported. These are reported regularly on Scorcher Hills Lane & Abbes Walk. Gas cannister dumping is still a problem. What3words is now Doncaster Council preferred way of reporting. Councillor Grimes has reported Gas canister dumped 3 times but still not removed.
RESOLVED to give the exact location to Councillor Lawson
A litter pick was suggested around the village.
• Flooding/Culverts –Ongoing works to be completed next year. Leaves are starting to cause a blockage again.
RESOLVED to ask for an update
• The footpath on Grange Lane, from Abbes Walk up to Old Village Street has been sorted.
• Abbes Walk Trees – touching the overhead cables. This has been reported but no works have started. A road closure has been received for 15.12.25 for 5 days, but unsure if that is for this works.

• Christmas Lunch date confirmed Wednesday 10th December 2025 12pm. 28 people have registered to attend. Raffle prizes have been received. Agreed to meet at 11.30am.
• Christmas Tree has been delivered and installed.

5. Financial Matters

RESOLVED that the accounts be approved, cheques and bank statement signed.

6. Planning
25/02303/FUL – Mr Dean 15 Grange Lane, Extension – No objections raised.

A recent road closure was discussed on Scorcher Hills Lane that has left the road & verges all churned up from the vehicles. No notice was given for any works or road closures. Councillor Lawson would investigate this.

7. Correspondence
All Circulated and dealt with.

The old email clerkburghwalliscouncil@talktalk.net has been hacked. Passwords have been changed.

Councillor Maxwell received a Police questionnaire that was completed with input from all Councillors

Anti-Social behaviour – the recent car driving around the village very day has been reported to the police. Discussions took place with regards to the concerns of the driver. Councillor Slack reported that the past 2 days the vehicle hasn’t been seen.

PSPO Consultation has been received from Doncaster Council.

8. Website
Up to date.
Issues ongoing with regards to the navigation of the site were discussed.
RESOLVED to investigate the past quote received for the.gov.uk website.
