Chairman’s opening remarks and Declarations of interest.

Councillor Dave Maxwell welcomed the new Ward councillors to the meeting.

A discussion took place with regards to the problem with Trees on the playing field overhanging onto the road and pavements.  Who is responsible and who to report to.

Fly Tipping was discussed as issues are on the rise every day.  No cameras are in the area.

RESOLVED that the minutes be signed. 

• Matters arising from the minutes.
• Repairs to the notice board are waiting to be completed.
• Trees and branches were reported on Abbes Walk causing power lines to go out.  Some trees look dead near Squirrel wood.

RESOLVED to contact Doncaster again regarding land ownership

• The Community Engagement Meeting is to be held 19^th May 2025.  Councillor Shaun Slack & Councillor Amanda Welke to attend.
• Fly Tipping – serious issues with fly tipping have been reported.  These are reported regularly on Scorcher Hills Lane & Abbes Walk.
• Flooding/Culverts – on going

RESOLVED that the accounts be approved, cheques and bank statement signed.

Yearend accounts were approved by the Internal Auditor  

Parish Council Income & Expenditure under £25,000 are exempt from External audit.

RESOLVED Burghwallis accounts are exempt, and forms submitted accordingly.

A discussion took place with regards to the website and accessibility.  Also, Burghwallis emails.

RESOLVED to work with Bharani on an updated site
