RESOLVED to accept reason for absence.
- Minutes of the meeting held on 3rd March 2026
RESOLVED that the minutes be signed.
- Update from Ward Councillors
No one in attendance.
An email was received from Councillor Lawson with regards to starting a Knit & Natter group in the village. There was no call for a group in the village
- Matters arising from the minutes.
- Fly Tipping – Gas canisters have been dumped again. Paint tins have been dumped into the bushes on Abbes Walk.
RESOLVED to contact Doncaster council.
- Flooding/Culverts – Ongoing works to start in April 26. No rain at the moment has caused any problems.
- Great British Spring Clean was a success with plenty of volunteers and lots of rubbish collected. Doncaster Council were slow on collecting the bags this time. Councillor Grimes reported on Brambles that need to be cut back after the Litter pick due to rubbish being too far in the hedge to collect.

RESOLVED that the accounts be approved, cheques and bank statement signed.
The current bank account had recently been frozen. Updated documents were sent to Co-op bank and all now resolved and open. With no charges received. Online banking has now been approved.
Yearend accounts were approved
Parish Council Income & Expenditure under £25,000 are exempt from External audit.
RESOLVED Burghwallis accounts are exempt, and forms submitted accordingly.
- Planning
Nothing to report.
200 + Houses in Skellow building has started
Various road closure notices have been received.
- Correspondence
All Circulated and dealt with.
Anti-Social behaviour – Cars driving thru the village and parking at the woods was discussed. This has all been reported to the police but is still on going.
Councillor Maxwell reported on a complaint received by a resident of abuse on the streets whilst out walking his dog of an evening. This has been reported to the police. The Police have reported back after a spot check and didn’t find anything untoward in the village.
Lamppost poppies were discussed. An extra 40 were required with bigger metal tie wraps. Councillor Maxwell would contact British Legion.
- Website
The new website is currently being constructed with a draft being sent. All agreed this was much better and easier to navigate. Clerk to ask Alistair to continue to contribute.

The next meeting to be held at The Burghwallis Public House commencing at 7pm.
