Most of us when thinking about deer think of Bambi, rutting Stags or venison. We, or for example me, never think of the damage deer can cause when they have the munchies. If you look at a deer park all the trees have six foot high, or two metres if you’re going to get picky, metal protection cages around their stems, especially of young trees. This is to prevent the deer from trashing the trees especially during spring.
Local woodland has demonstrated the effect of this activity, and just maybe somebody was removing the threat in time for dinner?
