The village flag has today been lowered to mark the passing overnight of Peter Rowse.
Peter William Rowse was born on 23rd May 1927 and moved to Burghwallis from Norfolk in 2019.
He loved being in the area, walking Lucy, their border collie, every day with his wife Mary and meeting many other lovely fellow dog walkers.
He very much enjoyed the peace and quiet of The Abbés Close and sharing the close with his lovely neighbours.
