ORDINARY MEETING MINUTES 5TH JULY 22

MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY 5th JULY 2022

A discussion took place with regards to the Remembrance Day Parade and the advice received that the police will no longer manage road closures.

Any closures would have to be managed by a Traffic Management Company and paid for by the Parish Council.

A letter of complaint would be sent to the DMBC Mayor, the Local MP, and the SY Police and Crime Commissioner

Suggestions were made about various places to meet up and will be decided nearer the time.

Nothing to Report.  Awaiting the opening of Doncaster Archives.

Ivy that needs to be removed around the village was reported, also around the war memorial.  This would be looked at in September.

Abbes Walk road surface was reported to be in need of repairs due to large pot holes.

A request for a letter of support for the Burghwallis pub was agreed as the pub is an important part of the village.

2 Manhole covers have been reported as damaged/missing on the Bridle Path.

Dates for litter picking would be circulated.

DMBC have recently been very good at removing dumped rubbish around the village when reported.  They now have pagers to be contacted direct on when out and about for any rubbish dumping to be removed quicker.  Scorcher Hills Lane has been bad for dumping again.

Ongoing with updates and documents.

Invoices for the annual fees for the old website have been received but not paid as this is no longer due to the old company.  This has been cancelled.
