MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY 11^TH JULY 2023

Chairman’s opening remarks and Declarations of interest.

2 Parish Councillor vacancies were advertised along with notifying CDC.

Councillor Shaun Slack & Councillor Chris McIlroy were co-opted onto the Parish Council and signed all documents requested.

The Parish Council are very grateful for all the work Councillor Hudson & Councillor Laming have done over their years with the Parish Council.

RESOLVED to accept apologies.

RESOLVED that the minutes be signed. 

• Matters arising from the minutes.
• War Memorial Wall Damage – All repaired and completed.
• Wooded Area (ASB) No response has been received to find out who owns this area.

• Financial Matters

RESOLVED that the accounts payable be approved and the cheques and bank statement signed.

New Bank Signature mandate has been completed.

All circulated and dealt with accordingly.

Abbes Walk resurfacing notice has been received for closure in September.

Department of Health & Social Care to register the defibrillator.

RESOLVED to complete.

Remembrance Parade – No road closure again this year.  This is a British Legion event.

Litter picks around the village have been completed since the last meeting.

Lady Gap Lane has been cut back.

Scorcher Hills Lane has been cut back by the farmer.

New Councillor ‘off to a flying start’ training to be booked.

The Resignation of Councillor Mrs Laming from the Parish Council & The Poor’s Land has been received with immediate effect.
